“Our daughter Alice has thrived under the love and care of the Sydney Cove Children's Centre. The staff are professional and incredibly friendly but most importantly they are caring and loving to our young child. Alice adores the girls who look after her on a constant basis. She gets lots of hugs, and attention and there are daily activities such as painting, story-book reading and playing outside.
Importantly I can pop over during the work day to say hello and every time I stop there I am always impressed by the carers' manner toward the children and how clean and orderly the space is. I also get emailed photos a few times a week to show what the children are up to. The centre has been really professional in communicating any issues, such as illnesses and are quick to pick up on any problems your child might experience.
I highly recommend this day care centre. We have had Alice attending since she was six months old and in that time I was able to continue breast feeding her thanks to the support of her carers. So for the first three months I could see on a daily basis how the centre was run and I have been very impressed by the professionalism and care, but more importantly the fun and loving environment the Stringrays' girls have fostered with the children. My daughter Alice adores her main carer and has a brilliant time throughout the day with lots of activities, home cooked meals and planned naps. “

“Just a quick note to let you know how happy we are with Ally and Sarah’s care at Sydney Cove.
They can’t wait to get there in the morning and a number of times I have had to leave Ally to be collected later as she has not wanted to come home!!!!!!
Sarah loves the “big babies” room and we are continually amazed that a 14 month old baby can be taught so many things – she is singing to us, learning new words every day and most importantly is always happy when I arrive in the afternoon. I really appreciate that the girls have continued Sarah’s home sleep routine at day care and it makes such a difference to us when they give feed back and always ask for guidance as her routine changes as she gets older.
Since starting in the preschool room in January Ally has flourished. She is so excited to be writing her name, learning about the solar system and how rockets work. Her room is such a happy environment she looks forward to Tuesday when she is back at day care. She especially loves the pirate ship and stages.”

“The criteria I looked for when I was searching for a child care centre for Zoe were the following (not necessarily in this order but near enough):
1. Caring and well-qualified staff who I could immediately communicate and with whom I could build a trusting relationship and great rapport quickly
2. A secure and safe environment which was not only well-equipped (good quality furniture, play equipment and toys) but had a large amount of outdoor play space (hard to find in the CBD but Sydney Cove luckily has this!)
3. An "open door" policy which would enable me to visit Zoe whenever and how often I could according to how much my work schedule would allow
4. Close to my office (ie CBD location) to eliminate multiple drop offs each morning
5. Aesthetically pleasing - attractive physical design and layout, spotlessly clean and good use of bright colours (also love the "sea creature" theme)
6. Easy and convenient fee payment system - automated and hassle-free. There's nothing worse than having to keep track of paying fees and writing cheques every month!
7. Good learning and development programs that are customised per each age group
8. Delicious and healthy food prepared on-site - no pre-prepared / packaged meals
9. Friendly fellow-parents (always nice to exchange greetings at drop off and pick up)
10. A great service ethic from the management team (Jocelyn and Gary) - always happy to answer questions, follow up on requests - etc. We are all time poor and the lack of bureaucracy at Sydney Cove is great - everything is answered really efficiently.
Obviously Sydney Cove met all these criteria, and I am very happy. Zoe is having a wonderful time, developing really well and I really feel lucky to have her at Sydney Cove! Keep up the good work!”
